Like many girls of her age, my four-year-old daughter Georgia is obsessed with all things Disney and I was so happy to see her face light up at Disney On Ice on Saturday as she watched the characters come to life on the ice. She was hooked and mesmerised by the music and performance by the expert skaters.

Georgia went along wearing her favourite dress as Belle from Beauty and the Beast which she got as part of her birthday treats.

Georgia at Disney On Ice

She enjoyed two hours of magical entertainment from Disney movies that have been split over 4 stories all of which were introduced and opened by Micky, Minnie, Donald and Daisy with the very funny and clumsy Goofey. The stories in the show were the Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and finally Frozen.

The show had everything: amazing choreography and acting from all the skaters and classic Disney songs like Let it Go and Under the Sea; with special effects to bring it to life like snow fall during the Frozen scenes and a flying Peter Pan and Tinker Bell.

It really shows the power of Disney and the spell it just casts over kids and adults it was a great 2 hours and we will be booking again next year!

I’d also like to mention the fantastic staff at the SSE Hydro’s Hydro Club. The waiting staff in the restaurant were fantastic with Georgia and made a special effort to engage her rather then pretend she’s not there like some restranuts I’ve been to. The whole experience of the Hydro Club made both of us feel like VIP’s for the night and made an already magical experience a bit more special. And the food was pretty good too!

Thank you Hydro Club.
