Mummy’s Magic Purple Smoothie

I made this for my girls who usually turn there noses up at most things and say it’s “YUKKY!” but they seem to love this fruity goodness. What you need: Juice of 1 lime 200ml of milk 2 large table spoons of plain yogurt 1 handful of frozen blueberries 1 handful of frozen blackberries 1 handful of frozen strawberries Then whizz it all up in your blender. And let your little monster enjoy the smoothie packed with goodness. L...

Viral Infections & Miss Trunchbull

I’m in a really bad mood today through no sleep for the 3rd night In a row. My daughter Georgia has been coughing non stop for 3 days, and when I say non stop I’m not kidding. I know it’s not her fault but I’ve commented to her dad that if the coughing doesn’t stop I’m going to throw her out the window just like Miss Trunchbull did to that little girl with the pigtails in Roald Dahl’s classic book Matilda. This Monday morning stress fest is me with a 3 year old and one year old toddler up, dressed and out of the door before 8.15am. Haha that never happens to plan no matter...

Groundhog Day

When my three-year-old is at nursery for 3 hours and it’s just me and my 1 year old at home, I seem to spend that time running around the shops with Calleigh crying and moaning to get out the trolley or I’m trying to clean the house with her attached to my hip screaming for anything she can think of. My clean laundry ends up covered in sticky banana from her mashing it all over my nice clean floor. Then before I know it’s nursery pick up time to collect Georgia. I have been walking to collect her recently and...
