Brief outline of the film:
Zootropolis has all the animals you can think of living in peace and harmony; from a Lion to a tiny shrew and not a sign of a human in sight. Judy Hopps is a cute little bouncy bunny rabbit who becomes the first ever bunny police officer. She’s determined to prove to herself that she can do the job just as well as the other animals. However her boss, Chief Bongo, thinks otherwise and puts her on parking duty. It’s here she meets Nick, a very smooth sly talking fox who ends up helping Judy, under duress, to uncover a major crime.
Disney have done it again with an amazing animation that offers us a very cleverly written and entertaining story about diversity, tolerance and the importance of being who you want to be no matter what others tell you what you should be. That’s a lesson for both kids and adults to learn from.
My favourite quote from the movie:
Chief Bongo: “Life isn’t some cartoon musical where you sing a little song and all your insipid dreams magically come true. So let it go.”
Have you seen it? What did you think?
