National Museum of Rural Life

The girls and I escaped to the countryside for a great day out at the National Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride. It’s Located just 13 miles from Glasgow’s city centre. We met lots of animals like Aberdeen Angus cattle, Tamworth pigs, Ayrshire cows, Blackface sheep and Clydesdale horses on the farm and had a walk around the farmhouse for a sense of what life on a farm was really like more than 50 years ago. The  purpose-built museum is educational for the kids as well as adults and offers a real glimpse into rural life and how things have changed. They have different events...

Georgia’s 5th Birthday

Dear Georgia Goodnight and sweet dreams because when you wake up tomorrow you will be 5 years old. 5 sounds big. 5 sounds scary. 5 means you will be going to school and 5 makes you sound less like my baby girl and more like a big girl. Heads of Ayr Farm Park Review

Heads of Ayr Farm Park is a great place to take the whole family, young or old, for a lovely day out. You’ll meet some fantastic animals, including rabbits, iguanas, pythons, guinea pigs, donkeys, llamas, deer, camels, monkeys, wallabies, and so much more! It’s an activitiy packed place. The play area is massive with so much to choose from Like jumping pillows, trampolines, sandpits, a big pirate ship to climb, swings, JCB electric diggers, drop slide and even an obstacle course. We picked a terrible day to go out and got completely soaked with torrential rain! As soon as...

Christmas Shopping

Christmas is fast approaching (92 days until Santa pops by as I write this!) Where has the year gone? If you’re like me, I try my best to get organised early to avoid all stress, pain and misery of having to shop for the kid’s presents at the last minute. There’s so many places to look…so where do you begin the journey to get what you’re looking for and not end up spending over the odds? I love Amazon, and that’s why I chose to be an affiliate for the brand. One thing you can always count on with...
